We are thrilled to partner with our Not for Profit client in their search for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team!  If you are passionate about working for an organization that makes a difference in the lives of everyday Albertans, this may be the position for you!  This is a hybrid position that allows you to work from home a few days per week.

The Opportunity

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with, and guide hiring managers through the full recruitment process.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned recruiter who enjoys the full lifecycle span of the recruitment process.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions 

  • Develop strategies to proactively attract a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Drafting job advertisements and posting on various job boards and platforms.
  • Pre-screen and short list applicants.
  • Participate in the interview process with hiring managers.
  • Conduct reference checks and designation verifications as required.
  • Assist in creation of recruitment tools and talent acquisition strategy with hiring mangers and HRBP’s.
  • Work closely with hiring manager to develop/refine interview guides.
  • Participate in workforce planning strategies and other recruitment initiatives including job fairs and professional association events. 
  • Create, track and present reports on recruitment initiatives, trends, opportunities  and challenges related to the recruitment process.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience with full-cycle recruitment in a broad range of positions, including proactive recruitment sourcing.
  • Advanced MS Office/Teams skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking system (Ceridian Dayforce) preferred.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Management, or Marketing preferred.
  • RPR or CPC Designation an asset.
  • Solid understanding of Human rights Legislation, Employment Standards and HR best practices.
  • Experience will collective agreements an asset.
  • Must be a confident self-starter with exceptional communication skills and have the ability to multi task.
  • Strong background in managing stakeholders and candidate experience.
  • Highly skilled at providing value-added strategic advice compliant with employment standards.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
