The Opportunity

Our client, a specialist insurance company, has an opportunity for a Risk Control Operations Manager. Reporting to the VP, Risk Control, you will be providing strategic direction as well as leading a team of Risk Control Specialists and supporting a high-volume culture. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Support VP, Risk Control in developing strategic direction and initiatives
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships with all stakeholders
  • Lead team of Risk Control Specialists across the Country
  • Provide mentorship on how to develop and deliver Risk Control expertise
  • Lead and support a high-volume team and culture by setting clear objectives, acknowledging great performance, addressing poor performance and contributing to a culture of open and honest communication and feedback
  • Identify process improvements and support innovation and process enhancements
  • Identify potential changes to product / service range

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma preferably in Risk Management
  • CRM and CIP designations
  • Technical training related to risk control
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • Proficiency with computer applications
  • Available and willing to travel throughout Canada as required
  • Must have a personal vehicle and valid driving license
  • Technical & engineering knowledge of risk control practices, procedures and standards
  • Possess good analytical, problem-solving abilities and time management skills
