The Opportunity

Our client, a highly-reputed, and rapidly growing insurance brokerage has an exciting new opportunity for a career minded, and new business focused insurance broker to join their personal lines team. Working out of their beautiful Northeast Calgary office, this individual will play a key role in following up on in-bound sales leads and helping customers attain quotes for new policies. As a sales focused role this position offers a compensation package that is a mix of salary, comprehensive benefits and performance incentives! Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Following up on generated sales leads
  • Gathering information from an online platform and booking meetings
  • Contacting prospective customers and helping them assess their insurance needs
  • Responding to requests, queries and providing value-added services for clients
  • Prepare submissions in Policy Works and EPIC
  • Maintenance of electronic and physical files
  • Mentoring and training new team members
  • Administrative functions as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of general insurance experience
  • Level 1 General Insurance License
  • Previous experience performing in a result driven sales culture
  • Marketing experience and assisting with client contacts on accounts
  • Working knowledge of EPIC and Policy Works would be an asset
  • Above and beyond communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective prioritization
  • Ability to work as equally effectively independently and within a team
  • Successful background and credit checks must be completed pre-hire
