Our client, one of Western Canada’s most respected brokerages, is looking for an Insurance Broker for their Personal Lines division. You’ll play a key role in driving the growth of the book with a joint focus on new business development and leveraging existing client relationships. Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Provide advice to clients on all areas of Personal Lines insurance
  • Conducting sales calls to provided leads for new online business quotes ensuring accurate data, coverage amounts and endorsements
  • Promote retention of existing customers by building strong relationships and providing quality customer service
  • Navigate multiple insurance partner online portals to complete customer applications
  • Meet and exceed sales and retention targets
  • Communicate with insurance company Underwriters to ensure evolving guidelines are met
  • Liaise between client and external insurance partners to ensure fair and proper representation for both parties
  • Continuous self-development, through industry and community involvement, and industry related courses

The value you bring

  • General Insurance Level 1 License and insurance industry knowledge is an asset
  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • The ability to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through email
  • Experience managing a book of business or relatable work experience

  • Possesses a strong sales background with the demonstrated ability to outperform targets and manage lasting relationships
  • Is a natural networker and connector who is driven by the desire for constant improvement
  • Is a self-starter with strong written & oral communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational skills
  • Someone who loves problem solving, helping clients solve problems through our insurance solutions
  • Has 3+ years Personal Insurance experience, or equivalent
  • CIP, CRM, CAIB designations preferred
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word
