Our client, a reputable insurance brokerage firm, is looking for a Personal Lines New Business Account Manager to become an intricate part of their Personal Lines Team, to build and maintain strong relationships with new prospects and encourage referral business with their clients across Ontario. The successful candidate will be very self-motivated, organized and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Reporting to the leadership team, your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Generating sales to meet weekly and monthly sales targets and proactively manage x-date, mono-line, prior quoted and cancellation lists to generate sales
  • Life licensed brokers to meet life insurance sales targets (refer to specific NB
  • Life Job description for specific tasks)
  • Proactively mine the lead generation sources identified in the Personal Lines Lead Generator document
  • Weekly and monthly pipeline planning and goal setting with clear ability to identify where the next sales are coming from
  • Immediately respond to inbound prospects via live chat, website leads or marketing campaigns within a 15 minute time frame
  • Quote all new prospects in CQ and communicate with prospects
  • Pull all reports, after obtaining required consents and document
  • Communicate with underwriters and obtain approvals for all underwriting
  • Referrals and document file accordingly
  • Other duties as required


  • RIBO license/Life license possession of both licenses would be an asset
  • CIP or CAIB designation or working toward
  • Prior personal lines experience would be an asset
  • Prior sales training and experience an asset
  • Ability to identify prospects and their buying motivators as well as spot opportunities to sell other lines of business
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy wordings and product knowledge
  • Excellent Customer Service acumen
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth experience using MS Office Suite and CQ
  • Excellent problem-solving and resolution acumen
