The Opportunity

Our client has been a leading insurance provider for nearly 50 years and they are looking for a hunter to track down new B2B commercial insurance policies. This role would have you tracking down and reaching out to businesses throughout the province of Nova Scotia. This role offers a competitive base salary and a generous commission component. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Effectively plan each week for target reach outs and cold calls
  • Actively engage in selling services to prospective clientele to drive revenue
  • Build and retain a varied book of business with a diverse portfolio with a great deal of autonomy
  • Conduct due diligence and proper research to effectively problem solve and provide appropriate insurance solutions for prospects
  • Maintain strong relationships with retained clients to effectively serve their needs to renew policies

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or graduate level education considered a strong asset
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience as an outside sales representative preferably in the insurance industry
  • A strong sense of urgency and follow-through is required
  • Impeccable communication and organizational skills both externally and internally
  • Must be a licensed insurance agent in Nova Scotia

Compensation and Benefits

  • A competitive base salary plus commission and opportunity for growth is being offered
