The Opportunity
Our client is a leading supplier of industrial parts and services with branches across Canada.
They need an experienced General Manager who will oversee the sales and support staff of the Hamilton and Brantford, Ontario locations. You are responsible for branch P/L, sales development and strategic planning. Excellent growth opportunities in this global company.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Responsible for overseeing both locations overall sales and operations. This includes developing and presenting sales and operating budgets for both locations to senior management – further responsibilities for forecasts, expenses, productivity, and inventory/asset management.
- Oversee a team of about 17 individuals, supporting teams by continuously monitoring sales performance, ensuring all team members are meeting sales targets/margins, delivering excellent customer service, and staying up to date on product knowledge.
- Support sales teams by attending sales calls and activities to build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Ensure locations are following health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other locations/branches to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Marketing related fields or an equivalent related technical degree.
- Demonstrated sales team management, with strong decision making and leadership capabilities.
- Technical background in Bearing, Power Transmission and Material Handling or related product is a strong asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer literacy.
