Long-term Contract Position – 100% Work from Home Opportunity for a Commercial Lines Technical Sales Representative!

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading independent insurance brokerage, is looking for a Commercial Lines Technical Sales Representative to join their Commercial Lines team on a contract basis. Working from home, youll be applying your commercial experience servicing their Ontario insurance market.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Review, sort, and route incoming correspondence to the appropriate resource, collecting information and initiating communication and follow up
  • Locate and provide information as requested to Producers and CSRs
  • Complete daily functions including, maintaining requests and client accounts in keeping with office procedures
  • Maintaining file integrity, adhering to workflows in Broker Management System (BMS) and Policy Works (PW)
  • Using BMS, maintain client accounts by completing defined functions, i.e., activities, workflows, naming conventions
  • Email clients to request or verify information and/or emailing information to clients or agencies and completing correspondence
  • Reply to inquiries or refer inquiries to the appropriate resource(s), including assembling information in pdf form and emailing
  • Prepare letters and properly document in system
  • Complete property evaluations, updating account information, accumulating and entering survey responses into database as needed by the Client Services department
  • Upload new business and endorsements into the Insurance Carrier portals, Applied rating, prepare liability slips, and ordering AutoPlus and MVR reports as needed by the Client Services department
  • Provide backup coverage and resources to Producers and CSRs during peak periods and vacations
  • Strict client information confidentiality
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending virtual educational workshops, webinars, and reading publications.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of high school education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with MS Office suite
  • Experience with general insurance in the support of service area would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work independently maintaining a high level of personal accountability, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational and time management skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution management/capabilities
  • Exceptional professionalism and customer service acumen
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in the application of appropriate underwriting rules
  • Willingness to accept and adapt to change
