Exciting Opportunity for Commercial Insurance Advisor, Edmonton, AB!

The Opportunity

Act as a trusted advisor and account executive providing exceptional service and advice to the existing book of business – comprised of Not for Profit, Government, and government related organizations.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Educates and consults with organizations on risk management, risk transfer, market issues and trends using current and relevant market/industry information and data.
  • Retention and Growth of the business – build relationships with insurance and risk management decision-makers within the client organizations
  • Analyze client-specific risk exposures and assist in determining coverage requirements as the client grows and / or experiences organizational change.
  • Actively seeks opportunities and offer risk management solutions
  • Prepare new business quotations.
  • Assists in preparing underwriting information for submission to sub-broker/external markets.
  • Prepares clients for upcoming annual renewal cycles, review, assess and develop responses for pre /post renewal presentations.
  • Calculates adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years+ experience in commercial lines insurance selling and servicing in an Account Executive capacity
  • Level 2 Alberta General Insurance Agents License
  • CIP Designation (asset)
  • Degree or diploma in business, economics or related discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and abilities
