Exciting Opportunity for Commercial Insurance Advisor, Edmonton, AB!
The Opportunity
Act as a trusted advisor and account executive providing exceptional service and advice to the existing book of business – comprised of Not for Profit, Government, and government related organizations.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Educates and consults with organizations on risk management, risk transfer, market issues and trends using current and relevant market/industry information and data.
- Retention and Growth of the business – build relationships with insurance and risk management decision-makers within the client organizations
- Analyze client-specific risk exposures and assist in determining coverage requirements as the client grows and / or experiences organizational change.
- Actively seeks opportunities and offer risk management solutions
- Prepare new business quotations.
- Assists in preparing underwriting information for submission to sub-broker/external markets.
- Prepares clients for upcoming annual renewal cycles, review, assess and develop responses for pre /post renewal presentations.
- Calculates adjustments and premiums on policies and other insurance documents
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years+ experience in commercial lines insurance selling and servicing in an Account Executive capacity
- Level 2 Alberta General Insurance Agents License
- CIP Designation (asset)
- Degree or diploma in business, economics or related discipline
- Excellent communication skills and abilities
