The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established insurance brokerage firm based out of Edmonton, AB is looking for a Commercial Account Manager to join their team to help guide the growth and renewal of their commercial client accounts. If you’re proactive, communicative, client focused, customer service oriented and interested in joining a team that challenges the status quo, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you!
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Provide customer updates
- Prepare and provide marketing and renewal presentations
- Cross-sell / up-sell additional products and services
- Liaise with Client Relations department on any problem or potential problem accounts, including any bad debt accounts
- Supervise, mentor and provide training to Commercial Service Associates
- Attend team meetings and client functions as required
- Complete and review coverage checklists on annual basis
- Build strong and positive relationships with assigned underwriters
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist Sales Team in the collection of deposits, premiums, and finance deposits
- Assist Sales Team in the collection of outstanding underwriting requests
- Maintain and update an organized data/filing systems
- Prepare client account reconciliations
- Provide clear and effective communication to ensure timely processing of all transactions
- Adhere to company policies
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Level 2 Insurance License
- CIP, CAIB, or working toward designation
- High School diploma preferred
- A minimum of 4-7 years commercial insurance experience
- A minimum of 2-4 years customer service experience
- Previous experience using Agency Manager, MS Suite
- Previous experience using ISNet World would be an asset
- Exceptional customer service acumen
- Clear and effective written and oral communication
- Previous experience working with sales agents and underwriters
