Our client, one of the largest insurance brokerages in BC, is looking for a Commercial Account Manager to join their company to lead a team of Account Executives and manage their commercial accounts while retaining new and existing clients.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Strong knowledge of the commercial lines industry and understanding of key markets
- Be the first point of contact for clients, building and maintaining client relationships
- Create market submissions to reflect client needs, and aligning them with the appetite of firm markets
- Firm understanding of clients’ businesses and needs
- Negotiate rating, terms and conditions with insurance companies
- Advise on insurance matters and recommend appropriate coverages to ensure that commercial renewals of your team are efficiently and effectively renewed
- Responding to requests, queries and providing value-added services for clients
- Maintenance of electronic and physical files
- Pre-renewal prep and follow-up
- Administrative functions as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Commercial Account Manager
- Level 2 General Insurance License
- CIP or CAIB Designation Preferred
- Above and beyond communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective prioritization
- Ability to work as equally effectively independently and within a team
