The Opportunity
Our client has been a leading insurance provider for nearly 50 years and they are looking for a hunter to track down new B2B commercial insurance policies. This role would have you tracking down and reaching out to businesses throughout the province of Nova Scotia. This role offers a competitive base salary and a generous commission component. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
- Effectively plan each week for target reach outs and cold calls
- Actively engage in selling services to prospective clientele to drive revenue
- Build and retain a varied book of business with a diverse portfolio with a great deal of autonomy
- Conduct due diligence and proper research to effectively problem solve and provide appropriate insurance solutions for prospects
- Maintain strong relationships with retained clients to effectively serve their needs to renew policies
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or graduate level education considered a strong asset
- Must have a minimum of 7 years’ experience as an outside sales representative preferably in the insurance industry
- A strong sense of urgency and follow-through is required
- Impeccable communication and organizational skills both externally and internally
- Must be a licensed insurance agent in Nova Scotia
Compensation and Benefits
- A competitive base salary plus commission and opportunity for growth is being offered
