If you don’t know artificial lifts, specifically gas lifts, then this one may not be for you. 

Our client is one of the world’s largest suppliers of artificial lift products and expertise. They need someone with a great network within Alberta’s E&P community to develop their base of business in Canada. Rare and unique opportunity to join this tight-knit team and leverage the resources of one of the biggest companies of it’s kind. This is a sole-producer role, with the opportunity to build out a sales team. 

This is a work from home position for now. Car allowance, great benefits, uncapped commissions. All candidates must have a current network amongst local oil and gas exploration companies along with previous experience in gas lift sales or operations management. 

The Opportunity 

You will be the sole Canadian representative for this world leader in manufacturing and after sales service for a leading line of artificial lift systems. An experienced technical sales professional is needed in Calgary to promote and service their gas lift products. 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions 

  • Create relationships leading to sales to the E&P community in Calgary 
  • Research and select best product for well optimization  
  • Install and service/repair equipment or components 
  • Prospect new customers, establish close working relationships 
  • Develop and execute account plans, review with internal managers and clients 
  • Mechanical aptitude and solid fundamental math and English skills will be needed 
  • Regular analysis and evaluation based on financial metrics 
  • Duties will require a knowledge of oil and gas industry OH&S rules and regulations 
  • Presentation of concepts to clients, negotiation of agreements 
  • Job will require occasional weekend travel, some on call duties 

Required Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in oil and gas sales and customer support  
  • Proven understanding of gas lift technology and equipment 
  • Minimum of 5 years of gas lift or Plunger Lift design experience 
  • Familiarity with engineering blueprints/schematics 
  • Previous sales team-building and leadership experience an asset 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills. 
  • Must possess a personal vehicle and a valid drivers’ licence with a clean driving record. 
  • Must be able to work from home, regular travel will be required within North America 
  • Drug and Alcohol testing will be required
