The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to support the Finance team at their office in Edmonton, AB. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and a collaborative nature along with solid Excel skills. Our client is looking for a long-term fit and will support career growth for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal and external resources to ensure timely processing 
  • Process invoices and make payments via cheque and EFTs
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies 
  • Data Entry
  • Maintain and manage daily logs of transactions in an organized manner

Qualifications and Competencies

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance is an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel – experience with pivot tables is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision is an asset
  • Knowledge of PST and GST
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fast, accurate data entry and word processing skills
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships 
  • The ability to take initiative and be self-motivated to ensure process improvements are implemented
  • Ability to communicate well with employees and stakeholders at all levels
