The Opportunity

One of North American?s fastest growing pump companies, representing some of the most innovative engineered pump lines, has an opportunity for a dynamic PUMP SALES PROFESSIONAL. They have an excellent reputation in the market for providing great engineered pumping solutions and quality service. Their philosophy is if you sell well you will be paid very well!

You will be providing solutions with broad range pumps, with a primary focus on submersible and slurry application to the mining, pulp and paper, oil and gas, dredging, chemical industries. The territory that you will be driving to expand key accounts is in Ontario, with some sites in Quebec and further east. Your ideal location would be Toronto, Sudbury or Montreal. The territory already contributes significantly to the bottom line but still offers tremendous potential to increase sales. This means that you will be well compensated.

As a PUMP SALES PROFESSIONAL with strong proven technical abilities, your responsibilities would include:

  • Identify, qualify, secure and WIN sales opportunities throughout the Ontario and Eastern Canada.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain close working relationships with the decision-makers including;Mine/Mill Managers, consultants, operator/maintenance, supply chain managers/buyers/purchasers and contractors.
  • Work efficiently with the inside sales, engineering teams and other internal partners to create excellence in the client experience to build close and profitable relationships.
  • Influence and assist in preparing technical specifications for the engineering consultants.
  • Presentations for the engineering consultants and end users including ?Lunch and Learns? sessions as well as, promote products at regional trade shows with a focus on generating sales.
  • Growth focus on mining, oil & gas, municipal, pulp and paper.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of successfully selling pumps and packages and/or rotating products in Ontario for a minimum of 5 years in the Mining or other Industrial applications.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas, influence buying decisions and respond quickly/precisely to customer challenges.
  • Demonstrated to have developed new markets and successfully managed sales territories.
  • Technical aptitude, with a mechanical degree or diploma, or appropriate Pump/Rotating experience with industry and manufactures? training.
  • Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Superior organizational skills – a self-starter with a drive to ?win? with the motivation to be professionally successful within a team environment.
  • Client service focused with excellent problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • This position will offer a base from $75,000- $90,000 per year or more (dependent on experience)
  • Uncapped commission that could push you beyond $120k in the 1st year and considerably more in the future if you are successful.
  • $200k plus is possible if you are a WINNER!
