Fantastic Opportunity for an Account Manager

The Opportunity

We have been tasked to find an experienced an Account Manager for our client, a leading industrial carbon steel distributor of pipe and flange, fitting and valve products in Canada. This person will be taking on up to 50 existing clients and exploring new opportunities in the Calgary area. This role requires the building and maintenance of lasting relationships with clients and the ability to drive business.

 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Developing and maintaining consistent communication with new and existing customers within a designated territory in the Calgary area.
  • Get in front of clients daily through whatever means preferred by the contact, conduct presentations and provide solutions.
  • Get to know the major projects of existing clients and gather market information to better serve their needs.
  • Develop an understanding to sell a wide array of products and develop a knowledge base of local and global markets.
  • Create reports, contracts, bids and correspondence within the organization and with eternal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years? experience in sales in a similar industry.
  • Experience managing accounts and working with varied clientele.
  • Starting with an existing network of contacts in Calgary O/G.
  • Exceptional communication skills with all levels of business.
  • Post-Secondary education in a business or related field.
  • Professional sales acumen
